Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Halfslice ("the game," "the service") at halfslice.gg, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.

2. Use of the Service

You may use Halfslice for personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes. You agree not to:

  • Attempt to cheat, manipulate scores, or exploit bugs to gain an unfair advantage on the leaderboard
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to generate scores or interact with the game
  • Attempt to access, modify, or disrupt the backend servers or database
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the game's source code for unauthorized use
  • Use the service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Submit a display name that is offensive, hateful, or violates the rights of others

We reserve the right to remove any leaderboard entry or ban any player that we determine, in our sole discretion, has violated these terms.

3. Intellectual Property

All content on Halfslice — including but not limited to the game mechanics, source code, graphics, sound design, written content, and brand assets — is owned by or licensed to Halfslice and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and play the game for personal, non-commercial use. Nothing in these terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.

4. User-Generated Content

The only user-generated content Halfslice accepts is your optional display name. By submitting a display name, you grant Halfslice a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display that name on the public leaderboard. You represent that your display name does not infringe any third-party rights.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

Halfslice is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Halfslice and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill — arising from your use of or inability to use the service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the service shall not exceed one dollar (USD $1.00).

7. Leaderboard and Game Data

Leaderboard scores are public. By submitting a score, you acknowledge that your display name and score will be visible to all visitors. We may reset, modify, or remove leaderboard data at any time for any reason, including to correct errors, remove cheated scores, or reset seasonal competitions.

8. Advertising

Halfslice displays advertisements provided by Google AdSense. These ads are governed by Google's advertising policies and privacy practices. We do not control the specific content of ads served. For information about Google's data practices, please see Google's Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States to the extent applicable. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing any formal legal proceedings.
